New Hope Senior Citizens' Centre is a nonprofit recreative centre serving adults 50+ in Montréal’s NDG since 1979. We provide a welcoming space with a Day Program, Meals on Wheels, and Special Programming.
Our regular Day Program features affordable semi-weekly (Mondays and Wednesday) community lunches, exercise and recreational activities. The extended Day Program (Tuesday and Thursday) offers three-month sessions in a variety of fitness and artistic courses.
Our Special Programming includes the Senior Wellness Initiative (CHSSN), offering a rich mix of free activities that spark connection and support well-being. It also comprises our Community Garden project on Concordia’s campus, an intergenerational garden-to-table collaboration that helps combat food insecurity.
Our Meals on Wheels program brings nutritious homemade meals to seniors who experience a loss of autonomy at very reasonable prices (7.50$ for a three-course meal). Prepared with care in our centre’s kitchen, each meal is delivered by dedicated volunteers who not only drop off food but also offer a warm check-in and a moment of friendly connection.
New Hope's Meals on Wheels is a friendly meal delivery service for adults aged 50+ who may no longer be able to cook for themselves but wish to continue living independently at home.
We offer freshly prepared meals starting at $6, cooked in‑house and delivered directly to your door twice per week. Hot meals include a full, nutritious option, and frozen meals are also available for added flexibility.
Beyond nutrition, Meals on Wheels provides peace of mind. Each delivery includes a friendly check‑in by trained volunteers, offering regular human contact and ensuring clients are doing well. This helps older adults stay connected and supported, while reassuring families that their loved one is receiving both nutritious food and attentive care.
Meals on Wheels is an affordable, reliable way to support independent living, good nutrition, and social connection—for clients and their families alike.
